What started out as a project to compete in the First Lego League
Competition that they eventually won, is now in a position to save lives thanks to their prototype,the smartwheel.
IN SUMMARY:
•A team of teenagers(the inventioneers)comes up with a prototype smartwheel
•Their aim is to save lives
•We might witness the smartwheel on future automobiles
The Smart Wheel (Safe Motorist Alert for Restricting Texting) fits right over the steering wheel (you'll see on the Video below the post)and has built-in sensors that goes off if
you take one of your hands off the wheel, thus making it impossible to Text while driving. Awesome,isn't it?If warned too many times, the Smart Wheel will send a text message to the parents notifying
them on their kids driving habits.(Giggles)This means the inventioneers are MAINLY targeting the teenagers.Talk of instilling roots of responsibility among the future users.
The Inventioneers showcased their prototype on the Entrepreneurial show Shark Tank where they were asking for $100k for a 15% stake. They need $75k to finish the
industrial design and get it ready for
manufacturing. Robert(shark) offers them the $100k for 30%of the business contingent on a big car company interested in a licensing deal. Mark Cuban steps
in and says he would be interested in going in on the deal but he wants to drop the contingency on the deal. They can take the prototype directly to the car manufacture and have them in on the final design saving the much needed capital for other
expenses and the deal is reached.
Good to witness how technology is impacting positively on our lives and also for programs like shark tank for giving the potential minds a platform and financial support for the realisation of the dreams.
I guess future automobiles will have the smartwheel.Banking all my hopes on that.Thanks to shark tank,lives have been saved.

FIGHTING POVERTY(BLOG CONTEST)

Poverty is a disease.A famous person once said "Being born in poverty is not a mistake but if you die in poverty that's your MISTAKE.I've been a spirited fighter against poverty and when i came across this blog contest i knew it was my time.I'll be answering all the questions.Lets go:
A:What has impressed me about Kenya’s efforts to
reduce poverty?
1)The pace at which devolution is taking off
This is one thing that has impressed me.Devolutions holds the key and i'm sure at this pace poverty will be reduced.
2)Supporting the agricultural sector
For example,my governor james ongwae has supported the farming sector and this is a wide step to reducing poverty
3)The education system
Though i feel more should be done.
4)Youth empowerment
I'm more than impressed by the government for launching youth programs like the Kazi kwa vijana and NYS.It goes a long way.
B:.What issues would I like the
World Bank to highlight?
I would like the world bank to address the following issues:
1)Future of Education(How to make education more affordable)
2)Hunger reduction in marginalised areas
3)Increase number of scholarships
C:Which areas do I think would have the biggest impact on reducing
poverty?
1)THE FAMILY UNIT
I Believe the family unit is one major area that will have the biggest impact on reducing poverty.As a father or the head of the family,i believe the best gift you can give your children is the roots of responsibility and wings of independence.Like my father always does.If every family does that then the respective children will always grow up the right way as compared to families that do not instill roots if responsibility and other helpful values.
Let's say a family with 4 children are brought up in the right way will have no worry over poverty as they will grow up and realise their dreams and poverty will be a thing of the past.
a)FAMILY PLANNING
The Government of Kenya has been very vocal about family.You've seen aggressive commercials about the importance of family planning. Through family planning,there will be no more stretching of resources on both government and the parents.
I biznerati believe the buck stops with family unit.For instance,picture this scenario,poverty has been part and parcel of family A .Family A contains 4children.The only hope for the family to escape from the fangs of poverty is the 4 children.Now the parents have to instill values and motivational talks to the children and with proper relevant education,children will realise their goals and in future reduce poverty in the family.

2)EDUCATION SECTOR
This is a critical area in the reduction of poverty in Kenya.Education is a weapon that can be used to eradicate or reduce poverty.Proper and relevant education completely purges poverty.I've witnessed this in my own village.No child should opt out of school and those who drop out should not be neglected and should be considered.Polytechnics always come in handy for those who drop out.All forms of education like sex education is very important and i'm impressed sex education is being taught under the 8.4.4 system.We (Kenya) are heading the right way.Education is an investment and would be much more impressed
if the world bank can assist so that everybody can afford education.
Let's say in a village if more than 3/4 of the dwellers are educated this will keep poverty away.
3)AGRICULTURAL SECTOR
The agricultural sector can have an impact on reducing poverty in many levels.I've studied this poverty disease for like 2 years and concluded that poverty is skyrocketed by diminishing sales in the agricultural sector.So for poverty 'ratings' to nosedive the agricultural sector is an area to focus on more.
I'm impressed by my governor sen. james ongwae for overseeing the signing off the first avocado consignment to mexico.Through that avocado farmers are now growing avocados and their lives have improved.
4) THE YOUTH
Empowering the youth realise their dreams for a better future is powerful in the spirited fight against poverty.The youth are the key to the next generation.Unlocking their full potentials always have an impact on reducing poverty.
The youth are the future remember.Teaching youths to be responsible is a win-win situation.Sex education is vital for youths because if there is no sex education and responsibility teachings then the generation will be a tragedy and we as a country will lose the spirited fight to poverty
6)DEVOLUTION
I'm impressed about devolution in Kenya more especially in my country.I've already witnessed the fruits of devolution and if more drives like the PESA MASHINANI drive by governors are supported by the government then poverty will be a thing of the past.As development is an enemy of poverty.
7)SACCOS &CHAMAS
Saccos have been a success and has raised the status of a lot of members.If more people merge to form saccos then poverty will be dead and buried.SACCOS have raised the living standards of members of the society and if more loans are awarded then the poverty level will be reduced.
What do I think could make poverty reduction efforts more effective in the future ?
1)National declaration of poverty as a disaster
This will make the efforts of reducing poverty very effective as it will be on everybody's mind that this is a war and everybody will put a spirited fight against poverty.
2)Increased funding to major areas that have an impact to reducing poverty
Availability of resources to the major areas highlighted above will reduce poverty and make the efforts effective.
With that i will be more than glad to say poverty will have been purged.I'm a spirited fighter against poverty.Thanks

ANOTHER PASTOR 'VICTIM OF CIRCUMSTANCES'
A video showing a man who appears to be KZN Pastor Sthembiso Zondo in the nude, has gone viral on the interwebs.
This is a complete privacy breach and whoever is responsible for leaking it must face the full wrath of the law.
The video according to @Drummagazine ,whose origins are unknown, shows a naked man talking on his phone, while pacing up and down in a lounge, wearing only his birthday suit,with the TV in the background.He can be heard talking about his cars, a BMW,
that needs to be taken for a service in Durban. In the room there is a woman, sitting on the couch
supposedly capturing all of this action.
A man has a right to walk how he wants in his own house.The problem is the person who took the video i'm sure the pastor was unaware and this is a crime. biznerati took to click on the video link but here is the feedback i got from the desired webpage

ARE SEQUELS DESTROYERS OR BUILDERS?
A sequel can be described as a follow up of an original movie.Sequels are often witnessed in series.Sequels can mend,build or destroy an entire movie more especially if the sequel is wack(sp).Sequels come in handy on the part of movie creaters and publishers in general.
Sequels are attractive to creators and to publishers because there is less risk involved in returning to a story with known popularity
rather than developing new and untested characters and settings. Audiences are sometimes eager for more stories about popular characters or setting.

Former U.S. Marine Colonel Dale Murphy is hosting a survival reality
game show in the West Virginia forest, with contestants including: lingerie model Elena Garcia ( Crystal Lowe ), wisecracking

So originally that was how the movie was supposed to flow from the commencement till the end but what follows up is a string of horrific events as the inbred mutant hillbilly cannibals take over the game.That's when the sequel vibe comes in.And the outcome of it all is an interesting movie that fascinates the movie freaks and make them glued till the end(52:00).
Remember the movie series SCREAM??Well it goes ahead to show that sequels get the movie going.The sequel in scream 5 was fascinating and it built the installment i must say.
Those are just a few examples of how sequels can build a movie or rather get the movie going.However,sequels have their downside.Sequels can destroy a movie if not well applied and this requires the movie producer/publisher to have A1 skills and wits to make the sequels have a positive impact on the original movie.I find the sequel in the first installment of the scream series rather a 'spoiler' (movie wrecker).
Sequels also can leave viewers dissappointed especially in cases where the viewers anticipated the original movie to go as per the script only to find a sequel.And to make matters worse the sequel is way below average than the original movie.For instance,Wrong turn 2 the original script was about a survivor reality and we all expected the game to go as per the script till the mutant rednecks happened(sequel).But the good thing is that the sequel(that centered on the inbred mutants) outdid the original movie.You see the trick??
What does the future hold for sequels?
-Well,From my P.O.V i see sequels have a great future ahead as more publishers and movie producers will pick up on the thread and expect to see more sequels.But only one caveat to the movie producers and publishers,please use your wits and skills and know when and where to introduce the sequel 'cause you fathom what a bad decision can do to your movie.Its a wrap.Till next time HASTA LA VISTA

them.I don't how I will look my housekeeper, our security guards, the supermarket attendant or even
the cops in the face today.

So excited for this.But what gets me worried is the thought of the side effects associated with this wearable.The thought of electroshock theraphy gives me chills.Having electric current pass through my system.Damn! formed.When one consumes the cooked potato acrylamide enters the system.When one continues
eating potatoes from monday to friday,the levels of acrylamide increases and this can be harmful
to your body.Take for example In the event acrylamide decomposes thermally in the body system,carbon(II)oxide is emitted and this can lead to suffocation which then leads to death.

FINALLY FIVE-0 APP IN THE STORE
In the past the blacks in the United States have witnessed several injustices which have rabble roused emotions which eventually have led to the birth if hashtags like #blacklivesmatter, #mikebrown and many other' revolutional 'hashtags.Just what can lead to the end of all the injustice the blacks have witnessed in the recent past and even currently with the feds?
First there was this idea,that the police be wearing trackable gagdets with voice and video recording capabilities so as to monitor every
activity of each police officer.Then there is this latest one. 3 teens came up with an app which is available for download(AFTER THE POST)
The app known as Five-0 will measure police perfomance and hence its aim is to bring about accountability. The Five-O app empowers citizens to rate, review and store the details of their interactions with local law enforcement officers. The system then aggregates all scores for a particular county or police officer and assigns by county and officer a dynamic grade for courtesy and professionalism.
Citizens are also able to search incident happenings and check comments from the public or community. Members of the community will have to download the app then start rating the
police in the respective areas.This will help the seniors in knowing which police officer is not doing his work and it will ultimately lead to
excellent police-public relations as the public is involved in rating the police officers.Thumbs up to the 3 intelligent minds.

Chicken pill has always been used by farmers on their chicken
with the sole purpose of making them grow faster.The chicken pill is made up of hormones that alter growth hormones in chicken and also human beings.That's why farmers use the pill.Like any other pill,the chicken pill has its side
effects.The side effects manifest with time.What worries me more is after farmers continue adding
chicken pill to the chicken feed,the pills hormones continue to pile up in the chickens body.Once the
chicken is sold and consumed, the piled up hormones now transfer into the human system and you know what that means.I think farmers
sold the idea to desperate ladies who needed to get that 'coca-cola' shape.
Arsenic found to be in the pill is known to cause cancer.Long period consumption of the pill eventually leads to higher levels of arsenic in the body which eventually leads to cancer.Ladies,it's better to use padded underwears instead of pills
to fix your derriere

HILLBILLY as defined by NEW YORK JOURNAL refers to a free and untrameled white citizen of
ALABAMA,One who resides in the hills,dresses carefree and one who fires a revolver as the fancy
takes him. A Hillbilly is a merge of two words.. hill
refers to a hill and billy refers to comrade which
translates to a hill comrade.Upto this age , there
are people who live inside the forest and
derogatory environment characterized by poor
houses and poor living standards.They usually
hunt for wild animals for their food and always
play hillbilly music.Remember the horror film
WRONG TURN?GREAT!!LET'S BEGIN.
Last week biznerati went on a research spree on
the term.Found out the term got its major breakthrough following the American civil war. It was during this reign that the appalachian region stayed marginalised while other parts witnessed
major 'facelifts'.Then came the Year of the Great
Depression when many mountaineers left their
homes to find work in other areas of the country but the appalachians refused to move and remained in the mountains till today.

Since then the hillbilly has been stereotyped and has even
been used as a racial slur on poor whites.
One of the issues associated with stereotypes is that it is profitable.The same case applies to hillbillies and entrepreneurs see this as a window
for potential revenue.For instance,film makers
have 'recycled' the image and brought it to life
through thrillers.Just like THE WRONG TURN
1,2,3,4,5,6).
Wrong turn recycled the hillbilly history and brought it out.Remember the Inbred mutant cannibal hillbillies on the movie.Well played.The
film potrayed the hillbilly with both derogatory
personality and derogatory environment.
If you are familiar with w rong turn ,then you are a
witness to the derogatory attitude that has been
inflicted by the film industry on the race.The type
that is exhibited on the film is the inbred mutant
hillbilly cannibal,and this is how they came about.
" Long time ago,there were families that lived in the forest(today's hillbillies)All was well till the
pulp mill shut down and the poison emitted killed all the game(wildlife),the only source of food for the hillbillies.As a result all the families in the forestevacuated the area except for one family.The
family later got affected by the chemicals that were emitted from the pulp mill and it's side effects a year later become a sad reality that would see the whole
family and the coming generation have deformed
ugly faces and body parts.On the lighter note,the generation would see strong hillbillies that would
never die easily(even survive a car accident)-THE ORIGIN OF HILLBILLIES IN
WRONG TURN SERIES
Film makes and also moguls always cash in on the stereotype(hillbilly).
Should the hillbillies be discriminated?Well,this a debate and biznerati raised this question and there were varied reactions with
almost 80% spitting vitriol.
" At this age,how can
one live in the forest with a 'semi-naked house'??
Fumed one of those i managed to reach for answers.While another one was against discrimination "I believe every citizen has a right
to stay where he or she feels like,". I tend to think that hillbillies chose not be associated with
American community and choose to be conservative of their culture.
But why are the hillbillies choosing to have such a lifestyle in a civilized country?Is there a secret they are hiding?(heard of an incest case).Till
when they will migrate from the hills/ mountains,the stereotype will continue being used
for profitability amongst film makers and moguls
and also give anthropologists a case to study.

THE HIV MIRACLE DRUG:A GIFT AND A CURSE

For the first time, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ( FDA) approved a drug treatment(Truvada)that will prevent HIV infection in healthy people.
Truvada works by lowering the amount of virus circulating in people’s blood that applies to the case of HIV infected people.Not curing fully the virus.Past tests on the drug indicate that it can also protect uninfected high-risk
people from acquiring the virus.This reports could be a GIFT and CURSE.
A GIFT because people will now indulge in unprotected sexual behaviour having in mind that truvada got their back.A CURSE because the aftermath of the irresponsible sexual behaviours plus the side effects detailed out on
truvada website.
Allowing truvada to be used
for prevention of HIV will foster a false sense of security
among its users, which may give the users a false mindset that they are immune to the virus and reduce
their use of condoms and other safe sex practises and you know what that means?A public disaster in the looming and this might escalate cases of STDs.
TRUVADA AS A GIFT:
In healthy, uninfected people, the drug can thwart HIV’s ability to take hold in healthy cells and start an infection, by blocking the activity of an enzyme that the virus needs to
replicate.This serves as a GIFT to healthy uninfected people as long as they stick to the dosage and practise safe sex practices.Its a gift also to doctors in the war against HIV as they can add truvada to their arsenal.
THE FEAR:
The FEAR that i have is that healthy people may not take the drug correctly as per the prescription which would encourage
HIV to become resistant to the medication and also there statistics of condom usage will probably nosedive as more people(teens) are prone to divert to this new euphoria drug. Public
health officials worry that people may engage in irresponsibly sexual behaviors when they are on
the truvada, believing they are protected completely
against HIV, which they are NOT.
There is need for mass education and awareness about the drug and also the public should be made aware of the side effects.
As doctors and researches smile about the gift ,to me it remains a public health disaster in the looming unless strict protectional measures and training are put in place.
